Guide Hachette des Vins 2012

Tasting notes :
« A new name in the Guide, but the House is no newcomer: an ancestor of these winemakers was already producing white wine in the late 17th century. The champagne bears the name of the founders of the brand in 1969. Today, their two sons manage the vineyards: 45 acres in the Marne Valley, to the west of Château-Thierry. Their brut tradition is a blend of 4 harvests (2007 to 2004) and the three grape varieties (including 78% of Pinot Meunier). Golden straw color, the nose mixing ripe citrus fruit and hazelnuts, complex and well balanced to taste: a good pairing with roast poultry. One more star for the rosé, born from a blend similar to the first one, with some 2008 added. Harmonious, rich and long lasting, with notes of wild fruit »
